Before loading
The Godot engine and Lion’s Life data total about 87 MB. The download begins only after you press Load the game. Use a current desktop browser with WebAssembly and WebGL support, and keep the tab open through the first startup.
Phones, tablets, touch controls, and gamepads are not supported in this version. Versioned files are cached after a successful load, so later visits should usually start faster.

A steady opening
- Orient yourself. Read the nearest-wildlife and nearest-pride trackers before spending energy.
- Walk toward water. Use E only when the drink prompt appears, and keep enough energy to leave.
- Approach prey slowly. Stalk before the chase; sprinting from too far away wastes the energy needed to attack.
- Face the target. Attacks require useful range and direction.
- Feed after a kill. The pile of bones is the feeding point.
- Save once you are stable. Autosave exists, but a deliberate F5 or menu save is safer before leaving.
Eat and drink before resting
Health recovers only when hunger and thirst are both above 70. Once both needs are met, R rests and Z sleeps. Sleeping passes time faster. The male lion lies down, sleeps, and stands before movement resumes.
Your first pride interaction
Use the named pride tracker to find an adult. When the bond prompt appears, press E. Daily bond gain is capped at 8, and a full day without bonding loses 1. Press L to see fertile dates, pregnancies, and births; mating requires member standing, at least 70 bond, and a fertile lioness.
Keep the same browser profile
Press Escape and choose a slot with 1, 2, or 3. The game autosaves, F5 saves manually, and F9 loads the selected slot. Saves do not sync to another device or browser. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching profiles can make a life unavailable.
Continue with hunting and awareness, read about needs and recovery, or return to the Field Guide.
